Charnock drew 3-3 in their season opening friendly against Evo-Stik League outfit Clitheroe. Carl Grimshaw, David Burrows and George Craddock scored the goals for Charnock.

The draw for the First Round of the Lancashire Amateur Shield has been made. Charnock Richard are away at Furness Rovers on 4th September.
If Charnock win this game they will be at home to Monton Amateurs in Round 2 to be played on 25th September.
Full details of the competition are available on the LFA website and it is possible to plot Charnock's possible opponents through to the Final if we are good enough to get there!

The Preston & District League starts on Saturday, 21st August

Three new teams have been accepted into the West Lancashire League for next season, and will be included in Division 2 - Kendal County, Ambleside, and Bolton based club Ladybridge F.C.
Ladybridge, Lostock St. Gerards, and Longridge Town will also be entering teams in Reserve Division 2.
As a result of AFC Darwen moving back to the North West Counties (Vodkat) League, the West Lancashire Premier Division will revert back to 16 teams next season.

Season Tickets are now on sale at £25.00, the same price as last season, these give free admission to ALL games, Pre-season Friendlies, Goldline and all League and Cup games.
A programme subscription will cost £15.00 for the season, please note that this subscription only starts with the first home league game of the season but includes Shield and Cup games. You will receive a programme whether you attend a game or not and it ensures that you will not miss out if all programmes for a game are sold out.

Tonight's game at Vickerstown is the 400th that manger Andy Westwell has been in charge. He took over as manager in March 2001.
In his first full season, 2001/2, Charnock won the Lancashire Amateur Shield for the first time since 1968 and the Richardson Cup. The following season we won the Premier Division title, the only team to prevent Kirkham & Wesham from claiming the Premier Division Championship Trophy in the period between 1998 and 2007. Andy has gone on to win the Goldline Trophy twice out of five Reebok Stadium appearances. The Richardson Cup again in season 2004/5, the Lancashire Amateur Shield again in 2006/7 and the league championship again last season.
No manager of the club has previously achieved the success that the club has enjoyed under Andy’s management.
